Join Labor Notes for this online interactive workshop. Learn the steps to organize monthly union meetings for all of your co-workers, whether in the workplace, at home or both. You will have several chances during this Zoom workshop to practice the techniques presented and apply them in your own workplace. »
The country has erupted in protests after the police murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis, from big cities to small-town America. Citywide coalitions are pushing to reduce funding for police and use the money for the many other public services that are always on the chopping block.

No sooner had the pandemic hit than the attack on public education—K12 through higher ed—began. Workers are being furloughed, jobs cut, and the "common sense" of online learning imposed. We are told that we have to tighten our belts and accept austerity measures. »
Hard fights are up ahead for educators, parents, students and our communities- from fighting back against looming budget cuts (and fighting for more funding) to resisting unsafe reopening of schools, it's going to take powerful collective action to defend public education. This event is a fundraiser for Haymarket Books and Labor Notes. Haymarket Books is an independent, radical, non-profit publisher. Labor Notes is a media and organizing project that is the voice of union activists who want to put the movement back in the labor movement. »
The rescheduled in-person conference will be next year, April 16-18, 2021.
Registration for the digital conference is now full. However, all the panels and workshops will be live streamed to the Labor Notes Facebook page.
At the virtual conference, worker leaders and activists will discuss organizing strategies and the state of the labor movement during the COVID-19 crisis and beyond.

The Labor Notes Troublemakers School is coming to the Gulf Coast Region.
