Online Workshop: Language Equity in Your Local Union
Event at a Glance
Event Date
For a strong union, we've got to help all members participate and speak up.
This workshop, hosted by stewards and members from the Caucus of Rank-and-file Electrical Workers and the Latin American Electrical Workers Alliance in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, will cover how to build up member power across multiple languages in your local union.
Topics will include how to win translation of union materials, interpretation at union meetings and classes, and push for bilingual stewards and staff in your union. We'll learn from practical organizing victories and ongoing campaigns, particularly in the building trades.
When: Wednesday, January 28
Time: 8 p.m. Eastern / 5 p.m. Pacific
