Across the labor movement, employers have forced tiers into union contracts. By denying newer hires equal pay, job security and access to the benefits other workers enjoy, bosses not only save money but also create a divided workforce.

Conventional wisdom that once accepted tiers are impossible to get out of a contract. But recent heroic struggles by IBEW and UAW members have proven that tiers can be defeated.

UAW’s 2023 stand up strike against the big three auto companies knocked a tiered wage system out of their contract. And this year IBEW power workers in Philadelphia won full pensions for all members after a strike.

Join us to hear from those workers about how they fought and won.

When: Tuesday, November 17
Time: 7.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern (4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific)
Registration fee: $10 - No one will be turned away due to lack of funds

This call will feature:
-Larry Anastasi, IBEW Local 614
-Stephen Hinojosa, UAW Local 12, UAW Member Action

The stories of these struggles offer us important insights into what it takes to rebuild unity and defeat the tier system.
