With our public sector unions under state-led attacks, how do we get our co-workers in action to win strong union majorities? For almost two decades, Republican-led states have increasingly passed laws that require state and municipal public sector unions to re-certify their bargaining units every year.

The most infamous of these laws was Act 10 in Wisconsin, which passed in 2010 despite significant union and public opposition. Every year, state legislatures around the country attempt to roll back public sector unionization by implementing similar legislation.

We’ll hear from union leaders from Wisconsin on the work since Act 10, and those newly taking up the fight in Florida to discuss how they are facing these laws and how they are building fighting unions that activate their membership not only to survive annual recertification but also win on workplace and community issues.
