Leadership isn’t about taking everything on ourselves—it’s about developing others to participate, by providing the resources and opportunity.

Using the “Learn It, Do It, Teach It” philosophy, this workshop will cover how to get more people involved and expand the capacity of your union.

This workshop will be led by organizers from the NewsGuild-CWA.

The facilitators are:

Stephanie Basile, staff organizer at The NewsGuild-CWA

Taylor Dolven, NewsGuild-CWA Member Organizer and a member of the Boston NewsGuild

Reece Carr, member of the Houston Federation of Teachers.

The NewsGuild-CWA is the largest union of journalists and other communications employees in North America, representing more than 25,000 workers in the U.S. and Canada. The NewsGuild is a sector of the Communications Workers of America, which represents employees in telecommunications and information technology, the airline industry, broadcast and cable television, health care, public service and education, law enforcement, manufacturing and other fields.
