Event at a Glance
Bringing together union members, labor activists, and local officers, a Troublemakers School is an incredible space for networking, building solidarity, and sharing successes, strategy, and inspiration. It’s a real shot in the arm for newbies and seasoned activists alike.
Members who attend will get inspired. Hear speakers from the front lines of recent struggles.
They’ll also get trained. The 1 day conference features interactive workshops, panels and meetings, ranging from crucial basic skills like helping your colleagues beat apathy to advanced topics like organizing to strike, planning a contract campaign, and strategizing against corporate decision-makers.
The event begins Saturday, October 8, at 10 a.m. and goes all day.
9:00-9:45am: Registration and light breakfast
10:00-11:00am: Opening Session
11:15-12:45pm: Workshop Block A
12:45-1:45: box lunches
2:00-3:30pm: Workshop Block B
3:45-5:00pm: Closing Session: Strikes!
5:30pm-7:30pm Food trucks and live music at the East Side Freedom Library
Registration fee (covers parking, coffee, lunch, interpretation, childcare):
$55 - Registration plus a HALF OFF subscription to Labor Notes ($15)
$40 - Regular registration
$25 - Hardship rate registration (choose if you need)
