Card Check

Oklahoma passed the Municipal Employees Collective Bargaining Act several years ago and, after a few rounds in the OK Supreme Court, employees from 6 cities have used card check to gain recognition with AFSCME (one through a traditional election). Just last month, Bartlesville workers gained recognition through card check. There have been ZERO complaints, either anecdotal or to the PERB, regarding the thuggery, manipulation etc... that anti-Union forces insist will happen if EFCA is passed.

I think we need to start talking about where it is working and how very few legitimate (Not NRTW exaggerated/embellished) complaints there are. The process is absolutely more democratic than most election standards because it requires 50%+1 of the workers to DO SOMETHING and it eliminates much of the employer-created conflict and acrimony.
