Give to Labor Notes!

Dear Friends of Labor Notes,

I'm Kristine Mayle, and I've been a teacher in Chicago since 2006 and a member of the Caucus of Rank and File Educators (CORE) in AFT Local 1.

Labor Notes is older than I am, and I assume most of you are, too. Can you help me make sure new activists continue to get educated in the Labor Notes tradition, by supporting them today?

At the national Labor Notes Conference in Detroit in April, we met with teachers from all over the country, to see how they're organizing against the privatization of public education. We want to replicate their victories and avoid the pitfalls they've encountered. We want to speak with those that have already won office in their unions (like us!) and those who are working toward it.

I'm really proud of what CORE has accomplished thus far, but I don't want us to be out there on our own. You can help by giving to Labor Notes today, to help pass the torch to a whole new generation in the labor movement.

Please think about your future and mine. Let's make no small plans for it.

In solidarity,
Kristine Mayle
