Dear Friends of Labor Notes,

More Labor Notes classes are under way. People who came to the December 2016 Troublemakers School said how much they would have liked their co-workers to be there. We had 66 people at our two classes held on April 8—many of them new people. Here's another chance to invite co-workers and to learn new skills yourself.

On Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m., we'll be holding two simultaneous classes.

Choose one of two workshops:

1. Using Social Media to Organize, with Ashley Secord and Phil Bianco of UFCW Local 876. Learn how to cultivate and moderate an online space, and integrate social media into your campaign and as an everyday tool for union members.

OR

2. Turning an Issue into a Campaign, based on the popular book Secrets of a Successful Organizer. Everybody has complaints, but an organizer has the skills to turn problems into opportunities. Learn how to sort out the issues you hear from co-workers, recognize the ones that have organizing potential, and bring people together to make an escalating plan to solve the problem.

Come at 9:30 to sign in. Classes will start promptly. There is no charge.
