Thanks for your interest in the 2008 Labor Notes Conference: Rebuilding Labor’s Power!

Scholarship criteria:
Our scholarships are allocated on an individual need basis with consideration also given to the demographics of those requesting. For instance we will target a number of low-wage worker organizations and are also interested in supporting the attendance of people of color, low-wage workers, immigrants, women, and striking/locked-out workers.

What to expect in terms of costs:

• The conference registration cost is $115 ($115 Cdn), or $80 ($80 Cdn) if registered before February 15. This includes the Saturday night banquet dinner, Saturday and Sunday morning coffee and pastries and entrance to all sessions and educational materials.
• Day rates are also available for partial attendance.
• Meals that are not included can be purchased from various locations at a range of prices.
• Lodging costs are not included in the registration fee. Rooms at the Conference hotel, the Hyatt Regency Dearborn, can hold up to four people (in two beds) to share at the per night rates. Other area hotels may offer lower rates, although you will require access to a car for transportation to the conference hotel (call Anna at 313-842-6262 or email anna@labornotes.org for information on other area hotels).
