PUBLIC BUS

The SMART bus stop is located closer to the airport terminals, no need for a terminal shuttle for riders. SMART buses now stop on the outer roadway (lower level) near the Ground Transportation offices at the North Terminal. For a SMART bus schedule call: (866) 962-5515 or visit www.smartbus.org.

From the North terminal, take Smart Bus 280, comes once an hour every hour (ex: 5pm, 6pm etc). Get off at Middlebelt on Michigan Avenue (takes approx 15 minutes arrive, so 5:15). Transfer to Bus 200 Fairlane, going Eastbound: Take to Fairlane Shopping Center (5:32 transfer, arrive 5:53). Taxi or walk to nearby Hyatt Regency Dearborn Hotel. *Both buses are available 7 days a week. Latest bus # 280 leaves airport at 11pm, the transfer 200 Michigan after 11. Earliest bus leaving airport is 6am.


TAXIS

There are two taxi services running from Detroit Metro Airport. Both of these companies keep cars waiting at the airport at all times, and both charge by vehicle.


Metro Airport Taxi (formerly “Metro Cabs”) charges $40 from the airport to Dearborn. Contact: 1-800-745-5191 to make a reservation. Reservations must be made, and pre-paid, at least one day in advance. Driver will meet you in baggage claim. Up to four people can ride for one price.

Metro Cars (luxury sedans) charges $41 from the airport to Dearborn. Contact: 1-800-456-1701 for questions. Has cars ready and waiting at ground transport. Seats up to 4 passengers.

Motown Transportation is run by a former auto worker and Labor Notes supporter. BUS AND VANS


Bus from Madison, Wisconsin
Labor activists in Madison, Wisconsin, are organizing a bus to the conference. The bus will pick up and drop people off in Madison and Chicago again as well.
